We designed the following task list for our domestic cleaning services, so it also meets the requirements for pre/end of tenancy cleans.

Completion of the list, not allowing for indicated specific tasks/requirements, will require a 4 hour time slot. However, if you wish to spread the more time consuming tasks over shorter repeat bookings for regular domestic cleaning, you can use this as a guide to prepare a more personalised list of requirements for the each visit.

*Cleaning Tasks marked with Asterisk can take longer to perform, or may require additional team members. If you are unsure of how much time to allocate when such tasks are required, feel free to give us a call and we can guide you on your requirements. Deeper cleaning of walls, ceilings, inside ovens, certain items of furniture and certain appliances, may need more specialised or specific treatment.  We can advise you on your requirements during booking.

Tasks List for Domestic Cleaning.

All rooms

  • Clean and wipe down the skirting boards
  • Clean and wipe down the doors and the door frames, cleaning and polishing the handles of the doors.
  • Dust off picture frames and lamp shades
  • Clean and wipe down light switches, removing fingerprints and dirt residue.
  • Dust off and wipe window blinds.
  • Clean and wipe down the window frames and windowsills.
  • Clean the inside of the windows (if you require window cleaning outside, this can be arranged at an extra charge.)
  • Clean rails and banisters
  • Clean around fireplaces and radiators *
  • Polish mirrors and glass surfaces
  • Brush, vacuum and mop the floors, as appropriate.
  • Dust and polish all tops and surfaces.
  • Light furniture cleaned and polished, then moved to allow cleaning under and around the item. * (Performed where possible, dependant on the contents on or inside the items. Extra time may be required if the cleaner is to be responsible for emptying and replacing contents during cleaning.)

Living area and dining areas

  • Chairs and sofas will be vacuumed, including under the cushions. Required areas will be polished.
  • If required, deep cleaning / steam cleaning of chairs and sofas can be arranged on request.
  • The movement of large items, such as large chairs, sofas and large items of furniture, may require additional team members, to enable cleaning around and underneath the items. *

Kitchen

  • Clean and sanitize the external of cupboards and drawers, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints.
  • Clean and sanitize the inside of cupboards and drawers, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints. * (The contents will need to be removed, or extra time allocated if the cleaner is to be responsible for emptying and replacing contents during cleaning.)
  • Clean and sanitize the external surfaces of the fridge and freezer
  • Clean and sanitize the inside of the fridge and freezer. * (The contents will need to be removed, or extra time allocated if the cleaner is to be responsible for emptying and replacing contents during cleaning.)
  • Clean and sanitize the oven and hob tops * (If there is a build-up of residue, or the oven needs to be pulled out, to gain access to those hard to reach areas, extra time may be required for deeper cleaning.)
  • Clean and sanitize the microwave inside and out, removing stains, residue and marks where possible.
  • Clean and sanitize all tops and surfaces, giving a polish where required.
  • Clean and polish cooker extract hood. * (Build-up of grease in the filters may require extra time for degreasing.)
  • Clean and sanitize the sink, removing lime scale deposits where possible.
  • Clean and sanitize additional large kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers, washing machines and tumble dryers. Treating for limescale build up if required and possible. * (extra time may be required for these items depending on the depth of clean required.
  • Steam cleaning of tiles and floors can be arranged. * (charged extra)

Bathroom/Toilet

  • Clean and sanitize toilets, bathtubs, showers and sinks, treating and removing limescale build up where possible. Taps and fixtures polished where required.
  • Clean and sanitize wall and floor tiles. * (Extra time may be required if treatment of grouting is required to remove staining and lime scale.)
  • Polish mirrors and glass surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize all tops and surfaces.
  • Clean and sanitize the external of cupboards, drawers and cabinets, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints.
  • Clean and sanitize the inside of cupboards, drawers and cabinets, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints. * (The contents will need to be removed, or extra time allocated if the cleaner is to be responsible for emptying and replacing contents during cleaning.)
  • Clean and remove residue from extractor fans (if possible).
  • Steam cleaning of tiles and floors can be arranged, * (charged extra)

 Bedrooms

  • Beds will be cleaned, sanitized and polished where required. Flooring under the beds will be brushed, vacuumed or mopped where possible.
  • Mattresses can be vacuumed on request. * (The beds will need to be unmade, or extra time may need to be allocated if beds are to be stripped and remade to enable cleaning.)
  • Steam cleaning of mattresses can be arranged on request. *
  • Clean, sanitize and polish the external of wardrobes, cupboards and drawers, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints.
  • Clean and sanitize the inside of wardrobes, cupboards and drawers, removing stains, marks, dirt residue and fingerprints. * (The contents will need to be removed, or extra time allocated if the cleaner is to be responsible for emptying and replacing contents during cleaning.)
  • The movement of large items, such as beds and large items of furniture, may require additional team members, to enable cleaning around and underneath the items. *
